Wine on the Radio - May 16, 2003

Georg Riedel talks about owning stemware

So how many wine glasses should you own?  One?  A dozen?  And how much should you spend per glass?  Georg Riedel gave us his thoughts:

"I say to my customers, when they are going to purchase a glass, they should invest as much as the average bottle of wine they consume.

So there has to be a relationship between the wine investment and the glass investment and if this is one-to-one, I am completely happy.

Second, you need only one glass.  You need a glass for the wine you like the most.  We have many tastings throughout the country.  Taste, try, and reconfirm if the glass makes a difference for you."

Then . . .

Pop the cork.

      Listen to the show

You can taste the difference!
