Glassware from George Riedel

Georg Riedel is often described as a man on a mission in the design of his special glassware.   But does he feel that way?

"This is a very difficult question because I don't know if I have a mission.   I'm a very passionate person - obviously I enjoy extremely what I do - and to see the fingerprints which we have left behind on the tables of our American customers, is actually remarkable."

And what message does Georg Riedel bring to all of his tastings?

"Obviously we have investment in wine and you can ruin your investment and you can ruin your appreciation for wine with the wrong glass and therefore life is definitely too short to drink fine wine from a second rate glass."
