Vacation Wine
Why is it that wine we have on vacation
seems to lock in on our memory and taste buds? It just seems
better, tastier.
Actually, it's probably not the wine
that's different . . . it's us being into where we are and who
we're with.
Wine often helps us relive and remember
those times and places for one simple reason . . . wine and place
go together.
Consider these:
Dining on Beef Bourguignon
and Pinot Noir in Dijon
Cracking chilled Dungeness
crab on the waterfront in San Francisco with a California Chardonnay
Savoring bistecca
fiorentina and sipping Brunello in Florence
Slicing into medium
rare rack of lamb with a peppery Shiraz in the shadow of the
Sydney Opera House.
Get the picture?
No wonder that vacation wine seems
so special. It's part of the memory of the moment so enjoy and
add it to your wine experience scrap book.
