Easter
Lamb
Next
to ham the most popular dish for Easter dinner is lamb.
Whether
the family recipe calls for herb crusted racks, grilled chops or
even a rolled and stuffed leg of lamb, you need a wine that can
stand up to the richness of the meat.
For
lots of folks that's always California Cabernet Sauvignon. And
if it's Californian and Cabernet then for many that means Napa Valley
.
Napa
give us lush and ripe cabernet but with tannins and structure that
makes it ideal for hearty meats like lamb.
The
hot days and cool nights in the valley concentrate flavor in the
grapes. A lesser wine can get overwhelmed.
Younger
cabs are a great choice because the tannins in the younger wine
balance with the fat and flavor of the lamb.
So
pick a price, check the label and try some Napa Valley Cabernet
with your Easter lamb.
