Enoteca
Wine Experience
A
report from Ken in Florence
Ah,
Italy…
so many wines so little time! Hi this is Ken from the
Wine Experience calling. While in Florence
we’ve done our best to discover the culture of the vine.
And
in addition to great dining and day trips, one of the best ways
to discover it is in the enoteca.
An
enoteca is basically an Italian wine bar… but that description
really doesn’t do it justice here! You see the enoteca
has been part of Italian life since Roman times… a place
to gather with wine at the center stage.
Enoteca
have selections of wines by the glass and bottle… and
double as the wine store for buying wine too. The by the
glass tradition makes them the perfect place to expand our Italian
wine experience.
Enotecas
offer us the cross section regional wine styles and varieties
to try. But you decide how much conversation about the
wine your tasting you want… or just quietly sip and enjoy.
Kind of a no pressure, no appointment necessary wine tasting
anytime you want it!
Pop the cork™.
