Biodynamics
Listen
There’s
a movement spreading through the California wine country we want
to share with you. It’s called biodynamics.
Biodynamics
takes organic growing a step further. It’s a commitment
to a closed nutrient and vineyard ecosystem that is all natural
and self-sustaining… paying close attention to the forces
of nature that effect the grapes. Of course there is no use
of herbicides, pesticides or anything artificial.
The
goal is healthier vines and better wines.
Winemaker
Mike
Benziger is a proponent. He believes it’s the best
way to capture the truest expression of the terrior… and
all of natures influence on the wine. He created a pyramid
graphically showing the building blocks of biodynamics in the
vineyard, starting with building a personal connection to the land
at its base, and putting the spirit of the land and wine together
at the top.
Biodynamics
connects us with the land through the plants, the grapes and, finally,
the wines we sip. And that’s the real wine experience.
Pop
